Voyage is running an eight-week pilot course for Emotionally Healthy Spirituality from March to May 2023.
The Emotionally Healthy Discipleship course is a plan for discipleship that deeply changes our relationship with God. It does this in two ways:
1. Addressing the reality that emotional maturity and spiritual maturity are inseparable, that it is not possible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.
2. Equipping people in a personal, firsthand relationship with Jesus by incorporating stillness, silence and Scripture as daily life rhythms.
This course is an introduction into a life with God that goes beyond "tip of the iceberg spirituality" into a transformation through Jesus Christ that touches the depth of your being.
To discover more information, the EHS orientation meeting will be part of our Sunday morning service on the 26th February at 10am. Because numbers are capped, we suggest viewing the videos below and registering your interest before the orientation meeting by contacting us via email.
The course is free however each participant will purchase the course materials for $70 which we will make available from Sunday the 5th of March. These are yours to keep.
There will be 8 evening sessions during March to May at the Toormina Community Centre. The first session is on Monday the 13th of March, with the last session held on Monday the 15th of May. Note: There will be no Monday night sessions on Easter Monday (10th April) and Monday the 24th of April because of Anzac Day on the 25th.
Christian discipleship includes both learning how to love God and how to love others like Jesus, as a member of His new family. There are two parts to Emotionally Healthy Discipleship.
Part 1. Loving God - Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
Part 2. Loving others well - Emotionally Healthy Relationship
The course commencing in March is Emotionally Healthy Spirituality.
